Christine Wood, M.D.

Christine Wood, M.D., F.A.A.P. is a practicing pediatrician in San Diego, California. Her passion focuses on the importance of developing healthy eating habits during early childhood and the environmental and nutritional impact on health and disease. She is the author of the book How to Get Kids to Eat Great & Love It! She is the "pediatrician's pediatrician" as she is frequently asked to address pediatricians and dietitians on the most recent research regarding the vital role nutrition plays in the health of children. Her articles have been widely published and she has been featured in many national parenting magazines, television and radio. She has served as medical expert for Libby's Juicy Juice, Beech-Nut, and she is the Chairperson of the Medical Advisory Board of USANA, an international nutritional company.

Dr. Wood received her medical training at the University of Michigan and completed her pediatric training at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. In addition to her regular practice, Dr. Wood also designed and implemented Kids Weigh to Go, a counseling program targeting families with overweight children and maintains two web sites at www.kidseatgreat.com and www.callyourped.com. She serves on the committee for the San Diego Coalition on Children and Weight (www.ccwsd.net). She is the proud mother of a 12-year-old son.
